Day 4 - Cruising to Bratislava

Who is this happy couple?
As we bid "adieu" to Budapest
We are on the top deck of the ship-listening to the Blue Danube Waltz as we leave Budapest
So very beautiful!

Last night we requested a wake up call...........???? At 6:30 am this morning, I woke up thinking we were experiencing an earthwake??? Gene was standing at the window...looking out. He told me we were in a "lock". Now here's a lesson for many of us who are not familiar with "locks", except what we have heard about them used in the Panama Canal. They help ships raise or lower to the next water level whether they are going up or down stream. Check it out on "google".
We are about 2 hours from arriving at Bratislava, Slovakia. (for our info. we went through an "elevation lock" at kilometer 1821 - Gabcikovo Lock) Goodness, this is so much fun and what an adventure!! Off to the shower to get ready for a morning walking tour of Bratislava.
We are excited to read your comments after our posts and glad to hear you all are enjoying my rambling! No photos this time.....more later. xoxox
