August 23 - August 29 (Avery's 2nd Birthday was on Aug. 24)
I am writing this post in red because it was hot in Texas! While we were there, the state was experiencing the worst drought in recorded history! Below, you will not see any photos of their farm. It was way too hot to remain outside and snap photos for any length of time! I truly don't know how Kris works in it. He assures me he remains hydrated and his body has adapted to the heat. We had a great time, regardless of the hot weather, visiting inside, visiting Kris at the Austin Farmer's Market (on Wednesday & Saturday) and enjoying "Active Avery" and her friends at her birthday party Sunday afternoon. One week after we left, fires broke out very near to their farm. They came very close to evacuating and were on "fire watch" for many nights. Thank goodness, the beautiful fall weather has arrived in Texas and they are enjoying much cooler days and nights!
It seems Miss Avery didn't want me to take her picture.
