Aloha! What can I say about Kauai that hasn't been said before? . . . . . . . . . . . . .beautiful, magnificent, peaceful, spectacular, lovely, relaxing. Well, it was all of this and much more! Having our beautiful Kauai family there always makes it even more enjoyable. Rich, Tessa, Aqua and Ambrosia moved from the big island of Hawaii to Kauai the first of the year. Rich has started another farm and you will see from the photos the fruits of his labor. We spent the first 6 nights in a condo in the charming town of Kapa'a (Eastern shore of Kauai) just about 10 minutes driving time to Rich and Tessa's home. Aqua is 4 yrs old and has started in a pre-school program at the local elementary school. He is doing great! Ambrosia is a fun 2 yr old enjoying books, her dolls, riding her bike and their new kittens. The last part of our trip (4 nights) we spent on the north shore in the town of Hanalei in a darling rental about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The weather was perfect with just a bit of rain mostly in the night while we were sleeping.
Get ready for a lot of photos!
This photo was taken in Kapa'a just steps from our room.

Their house is above the studio rental.
Now I am standing inside looking out on the backyard.
